1. Contact Form
When you submit the contact form, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, company or project name, a description of what you want to build, an optional budget range, and your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not sell this information to third parties.
2. Analytics & Measurement
This website uses Google Tag Manager, a container that loads measurement and advertising tools. It is only loaded after you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you click Reject, or make no choice, it is not loaded and none of the tools below run. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer; choosing Reject after having accepted also deletes the measurement cookies these tools had set.
Once accepted, the container loads Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel, and may load Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising. These services may collect pages viewed, approximate location at country or region level, device and browser type, and how you interact with the page. We use this information in aggregate to improve the website and our marketing. We do not use it to identify you personally and we do not sell it.
The simplest way to keep these tools from running is to click Reject. A content blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on will also prevent them.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
This website stores a small amount of data in your own browser: your theme preference, your cookie banner choice, and any campaign parameters from the link you arrived through. These are kept in local and session storage rather than in cookies, and they are never sent to us.
One cookie is ours: when you switch language with the EN / FR control, a cookie named site_lang records your choice (the value is just en or fr) for one year, so that the homepage stops guessing your language from your browser settings. It is only set when you make that choice, and it is not used for anything else. Without it, a browser whose preferred language is French is sent to the French homepage on arrival; that decision is made from the request itself and nothing about it is stored.
Separately, once you have accepted, the measurement tools described in section 2 set their own cookies. You can clear these at any time through your browser's settings for this site, and you can prevent them from being set with a content blocker.
4. UTM & Campaign Parameters
If you arrive on this site via a marketing link containing campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term), we temporarily store these in your browser session so that, if you submit the contact form, we can understand which channel referred you. This information is not used to identify you personally.
5. Hosting & Server Logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type and request timestamps) for security and operational purposes.
6. Third-Party Services
This website uses third-party services to operate the contact form (such as Formspree or Web3Forms), to load web fonts (Google Fonts), and to manage measurement tags (Google Tag Manager, which may in turn load the providers listed in section 2). These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.
7. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you have submitted to us by emailing contact@whatelse-marketing.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@whatelse-marketing.com.
